an update..

Over the past few weeks I've bought Moomin back into work again, and he is feeling happier and more enthusiastic than ever.
On saturday I took him to do some 2ft3 clear round SJ at Solihull Riding Club and despite being constantly ridden into by kids from a riding school on little ponies he was impeccably well behaved it was me who got annoyed!! Haha. He jumped two fabulous clear rounds despite not having jumped for about a month!!
Yesterday I had the day off college, there was a trip organised for people who want to go to uni to go to a university fair.. but as I don't want to go.. I had the day off. I plan to take him arena eventing on saturday at Weston Lawns so I thought it would be good to practise some xc jumps on a manege so I tootled off to Solihull again to do some practise on their outdoor arena. Again, Moom was amazing, after jumping the first log massive, he settled down and really concentrated on his job. We had a bit of a discussion at the skinny, but as he's hardly done any xc, I was over the moon with him, and I cannot wait for saturday!!

Although, I am also riding my dads cob in the jumping phase which is always interesting!!

Meet Tisrara Dream aka Remi.

Remi is an 8yo ISH x Connemara (Moores Clover x Genessa). I bought him from Fox Farm Equestrian when he was a 4yo and couldn't canter a 20m circle. Since then, we've had a lot of success eventing, show jumping and dressage. He's represented the North Warks Pony Club at Championship Level Intermediate and Open Eventing and Open Dressage to Music. In 2008 we were a sole individual from our PC getting to the Intermediate Eventing Championships (this was our first season at this level) and we finished 7th in our arena. In 2009 we won the PC Intermediate Eventing Championships getting a 26.79 dressage and a time fault for going too fast XC (oops!!) finishing on 27.79, about 5penalties clear of the 2nd placed rider. Our team also won that year, making the whole thing so much more special.

Since then we have won and been placed in many Senior BS classes and have recently won our BE Novice section at Moreton Morrell on our dressage score of 30.5.

I look forward to the 2011 season on him, hopefully completing a few CIC*'s and hopefully a CCI* before selling him at the end of the season.

Meet Marquis De Montaire aka Moomin

Moomin is a 5yo Dutch Warmblood by Guidam (Quidam De Revel). We were originally going to be selling Remi at the end of the 2010 season, so we started looking for a young horse to bring on and event and found Moomin instantly falling in love. We had him vetted a few days later and bought him home. This season was a bit of a plunge into a deep end with him, he went out show jumping and XC schooling straight away and was entered in two BE90s, completing one at Holdenby with a few stops XC.

I am to gain experience with him over the winter and hopefully get him up to Novice BE Level next summer and apply for the CIC** European Team training at the end of 2011 for the 2013 Euros.
